Described by the owners as a ‘caf’ making food that would be at home coming from your gran’s kitchen, The Breakfast Club offers hearty fare for everyone. Try their signature All American pancake stack with bacon, sausage, home style potatoes, runny eggs and maple syrup or Squeaky Bun Time with golden panko halloumi, hot honey, rocket, pickled onion and sundried tomato on a toasted bun. The Oval Tavern (131 Oval Road) 

Don’t let the fact this is a pub put you off – The Oval serves, by its own admission, the best veggie breakfast in Croydon. Just a short stroll from Ten Degrees, this friendly establishment is proud to offer a wide selection of vegetarian food (try the creamy avocado on sourdough toast with chilli flakes) and hot drinks all day in a cosy environment. And for those sunny days, the secret walled garden is the perfect place to unwind with friends.
